SECI extends dealines of multiple tenders totalling 8.7 GW of solar (India)
The state-owned Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has extended yet again the deadline for bids at multiple renewable tenders in India due to lack of interest from developers.
The 6 GW solar tender deadline was extended to 11 October 2019. The tender calls for bids on four giant solar projects of 1.5 GW each, along with 0.5 GW of solar equipment manufacturing capacities. Bid prices have been capped at INR 2.75/kWh (US$3.85c/kWh).
The deadline for bids to the 1.2 GW solar tender was extended to 16 September 2019 and the maximum tariff for bids was estated at INR 2.68/kWh (US$3.73c/kWh), from INR 2.65/kWh (US$3.69c/kWh) previously.
The 1.5 GW solar tender new deadline is moved to 13 September 2019.
