RWE acquires a 920 MW CCGT power project in Belgium
RWE has acquired Advanced Power’s 100% stake in Dils Energie, which is developing a 920 MW CCGT power project in Dilsen-Stokkem (Belgium). Advanced Power bought the project, which requires a €500m investment, from France’s EDF in 2011. The project is at an advanced stage of development and may take part to Belgium's first capacity auction (CRM, mécanisme de rémunération de capacité) that still has to be approved by the European Union but is expected before the end of 2021.
In March 2021, Eneco received a permit for the construction and operation of an 870 MW CCGT power plant in the Seneffe-Manage industrial estate.
