This marks a milestone in the construction of the Hualong One reactor. Two 1,100 MW Chinese-designed ACP-1000 units (Hualong One reactors) are currently being built at Paradise Point, near Karachi in the Sindh province - construction started in 2015 at unit-2 and in 2016 at unit-3 - and the reactor internals at unit-2 were installed in January 2019. The reactors are expected to be commissioned in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
