Advanced modelling tools designed on demand

Enerdata modellers have up to 30 years experience in programming and modelling. Depending on timeframe and geographical scope, Enerdata leverages its propietary models and expertise in model development.

The field of design and implementation of models includes:

  • energy demand
  • energy demand/supply equilibrium
  • load curves
  • transport-energy evaluation

Our value added: 30 years of continuous development of energy models, for more than 100 countries and regions all over the world. Leading role in European consortium, networking. Proprietary data bases for model feed and calibration.

Proprietary & Licensed models:

  • POLES
Global supply & demand forecasting model. Created by Patrick Criqui, Director at the French Research Institute LEPii, the POLES model is co-developed and exploited by Enerdata for projects including international forecasting issues.

  • MEDPRO
Bottom-up model for long term energy demand, load curve and greenhouse gases forecasts.

  • MEDEE
Long term energy demand model, which has been implemented in more than 100 countries and regions worldwide since the mid-seventies.
  • MEDEE-Transport
Development of the model with the support of ADEME, with a preliminary application to France (PREDIT research programme).
  • VLEEM
Very Long Term Energy Environment Model - Coordination of the European consortium for the design and construction of the model, design and construction of the demand module “BASES” of VLEEM.
  • ITEMS (Integrated Transport Energy Environment System)
Coordination of the European consortium for the design and construction of the model, design and construction of the vehicle stock module of ITEMS, for the European Commission.

Reference projects

  • For a major European utility: development of a demand forecasting model for central european countries

  • for the African Development Bank: development of the energy demand forecasting model MEDEE-A
