Enerdata presents its first estimates for the 2007 energy consumption

May 2009

Enerdata presents its first estimates for the 2007 energy consumption of some large countries that nearly represent half of the world energy consumption. In most of these countries, energy consumption growth remained sustained in 2007 despite high energy prices: 7.3% in China, 5.4% in Brazil , 2.7% in Russia , 2% in the USA. However for China and Russia, the growth has been much slower than the economic growth. Consumption and GDP growth is quite similar for Brazil and USA.
